Wine & Cheese ~ 78th Serving

wine n cheeseWelcome to Wine & Cheese, my weekly, Wednesday whine session.

Every week on Wednesday I devote a blog to whining. Despite being a really happy, positive person, I do have things that annoy me at times.

I never let anything grate on my nerves for long but thought it would be fun to vent them periodically in my blogs.

I also feel that good things, the cheese in life, should be acknowledged as well.

I’m even going to throw in a bit of dessert, a piece of virtual chocolate, something that made me laugh or smile just a bit more than normal.

😦  I am ready to find Skyler kitten a new home.  Okay not really, but I’ve about reached the end of my rope.  I get that she is just a kitten and therefore more curious and mischievous than an adult cat, but she has a mean streak too, she likes to bite me, hard.  And her favorite pastime is trashing the one Christmas tree.  Well, when she isn’t on the kitchen counter knocking things off.  I’m positive she is going to hell too, because she got into the nativity and tossed baby Jesus and the 3 Wise Men out and on the floor.

😦  At the moment it sure isn’t looking like a White Christmas is on order for our area.  This is the one and only time I’m crazy about snow.  Don’t need a lot, just a few inches to wake up to on Christmas morning to set the mood.  Instead it looks as if it will be just dry and cold.  I’m not happy.  Time to get all the kiddos wearing their jammies inside out and backward and all those other crazy superstitions they have for snow.

😦  I think that I am again getting a cold.  I’m so tired of blowing my nose and having sniffles.

CHEESE

🙂  I have had the opportunity to work from home more lately.  I love this!  Not only is it a big savings on gas, but I actually do better work when I am home, alone, in the quiet.  My coffee pot close by, oils for the diffuser or my favorite candles.  I love it.

🙂  I wasn’t sure I would like it, but I’m starting to have fun with Instagram!  It’s actually a rather enjoyable app.

🙂  I not only worked from home today, I managed to get 3 loads of laundry done, and make a kick-butt dinner as well, all while rocking the job.

🙂  It’s not quite 8pm and I’m done with everything I needed to accomplish today.  That means a book, my tea, and my jammies are on deck now. WOOHOO!

969297_10152082094141031_408189009_n😦  I can feel the approaching winter weather for this weekend.  My hands, neck, and back are in a lot of pain from my arthritis.  This makes me not care for snow and cold one bit.  I think snow is just beautiful, but being outside in it at all hurts when I’m cold.  Fronts and approaching storms are agony.  This is entirely too much snow. I hope they are completely WRONG.

😦  My mom started chemo today.  Leave it to someone in my family to get something as off the wall as Appendiceal cancer, pretty much everything about us is just a tad off.  Cancer of the appendix is very rare, and the type my mom has is so rare no one really has a definitive answer on treatment.  I believe it is now 3 times it has come back.  She beat breast cancer but this bugger is damn stubborn.  Doesn’t help that they really have no certain way to treat it.  I hate she is going through chemo now, as other options didn’t do the trick.

1459997_258242057663057_217095040_n😦  I love this dog, I really do.  I love taking her for a walk at night, and she must enjoy it because the minute dinner is finished she is bugging me until we leash-up and go out of the door.   The whine here?  She will piddle in any yard which is fine, a little puppy pee-mail is okay.  But when it comes to poo, she will opt for the middle of the street.  This is a bit embarrassing, walking along and suddenly there is a dead weight on the leash and she is leaving a calling card.  I always pick it up and it is a lot easier on the street than in the grass, but wow, really?

😦  OMG The Walking Dead is killing me!  Why Herschel?????

CHEESE

🙂  My baby girl got engaged!!!  Her future husband is a really wonderful man and I’m ecstatic.  I always worry about her, she has such an amazing, kind and gentle heart, and my fear is she could be taken advantage of one day.  But she has good sense, and he did come and talk to me, then her brother and her daddy about it.  I appreciated that he did this before he asked, though it was not necessary, just confirmed what I know of his character.  Her ring is gorgeous, he had it made just for her.

🙂  My job just completely doubled in responsibility.  I’m so busy I’m surprised I get time to use the bathroom.  But I love the challenge and I’ve never minded working hard.  Have to admit, the days are flying by thanks to not having any lag time.

🙂  Despite my dog’s odd potty habits, I am loving our walking time.  It is good, quiet, thinking time and allows me to unwind from the work day.  She is starting to look like the weight is coming off of her and I know it’s coming off me so that makes me happy!  A lot of folks in our little neighborhood have lights up too, which makes it rather festive to be out there.

DESSERT

My baby girl sent me a link to a Youtube video this morning shortly after the work day was under way.  I always take time to see what is up if I get a text from my kids, mom or honey so I clicked on it.  My daughter is a beautiful blond like Carrie Underwood (even to me looks a bit like her – you can see her on My Supporting Cast page), and with her upcoming marriage, the resemblance and the way I very much love my baby, this song made me cry.  She is such a sweetie!

😦  It is only November 12th, and we’ve had one snow fall of a half inch or so, and I’m sick of it already.  Yes, it is very pretty.  But it is cold, and I don’t like being cold.  And slick roads are no fun, especially when your car thinks it is going out for a spot in the ice follies.  Spun that sucker around on an over pass, one and a half times so that I was going the wrong way in my lane when I finally stopped.  Yep, that totally trumped my coffee for being on the edge.

😦  Cold means that I need to get my dog a sweater.  If there is one thing I think is totally ridiculous it is a dog wearing sweaters.  However, Yorkies don’t have fur, they have hair, and no under coat.  If you are cold, the dog is also.  So, if we are going to keep walking every day when I get home, she needs to be properly outfitted.  Mittens or booties will not be necessary…at least I hope.

😦  The demon possessed cold on steroids that kicked my butt over the weekend is not letting go entirely.  While I feel great, I still have the sniffles and a bit of a cough.  OH the joy.

😦  Oh the joys of winter, like scraping your car windows.  Not much fun with the arthritis in my hands, OUCH.  Guess that goes with the joys of aging as well.

CHEESE

🙂  Nothing says “gosh I am sure glad I have started nightly walks with the dog” like getting on the scale after 2 weeks and discovering you have shed 7.5 pounds.   And it isn’t even a long route that we take, just 15 minutes but seems to be helping.  Talk about motivation to extend the distance!

🙂  My jeans aren’t so snug anymore!

🙂  Skyler is back to being pure kitten.  If she isn’t trying to sneak out of a room, into a closet, or picking a fight with one of the other cats, she is curled up in my lap.  Love my little fluff ball.

🙂  When I get home this evening there is a wonderful man waiting for me.  And a big slow cooker full of stew for dinner.  I cannot wait!  Great guy, good food, what more could a girl ask for?

😦  I have been up to my eyeballs in crisis management of sorts.  Where to begin?

😦  Dad is adjusting to the nursing home, and while he looks SO good and just over all is in such better health now that he isn’t smoking or drinking, gets good meals etc, it is still hard to see him there in a nursing home.  Mind you, this place is top notch, like what I figure rich folks would be happy residing within the walls. The place is AWESOME!  But still, he no longer can get anywhere quickly, even with his walker.  And while he has more freedom in many ways (he can now attend mass daily, has friends and isn’t lonely in that big house by himself), he doesn’t feel like he did in his own home.  I know that I’m facing his mortality head on too.  That is difficult.

😦  Mom is recovering like a champ from her last cancer surgery, but again, facing the fact that she isn’t going to live forever is not fun.

😦  I am SO strapped for cash right now that it isn’t even funny.  So any blip on the “you need money to pay for this” radar screen is going to have to crash and burn, I have nothing period!  So a kitten who suddenly stops playing, sits in one place for hours and hours and is drooling like a faucet was enough to have me in tears all the way to work Tuesday.  The story on KLOVE for their Home For the Holidays contest broke the damn resulting in  a river of tears for 28 miles.

😦  I think one of my cats has fleas.  Which no doubt means the other cat does too. SIGH.  That other cat, every couple of days pukes up what she eats, just once for the day, if I feed them canned food. But still, nothing says “YUCK” like feline “feels like cold oatmeal” barf on the rug. Ewwwwww.  The dog, I believe she has mange.  Again. Attacking that as best I can but finding time to bathe her in the special shampoo that I am nearly out of (and it ain’t cheap) is hard to do right now.  Then the kitten. Oh that little bad ass dare devil.  She took a 12 foot fall and failed to land on her little feet.  Thankfully she will be okay, thanks to a critter angel I cannot thank enough (she footed the vet bill).  But she has some injury to her back right leg, and her jaw.  Nothing broken but very tender and she must have been in a lot of pain because she was salivating like she was being paid by the drop.   “Welcome to our zoo, stop by the gift shop for Avon, jewelry candles, and hippie oils and scents.” (That was courtesy of the Knight who thinks he is SO funny).

This is the Anderson Ferry, the same one that carried the semi that I was certain would be certain death.

This is the Anderson Ferry, the same one that carried the semi that I was certain would be certain death.

😦  My trip to get the kitten checked out required leaving work early to go 28 miles home, then get the kitten and head back to Ohio to the vet.  To cut the distance and time in half if I took the ferry over the Ohio River.  Now mind you, I don’t LIKE the ferry much.  I am not a fan of any body of water I cannot see the bottom, and fast moving, debris filled rivers are high on the list.  But it is the quickest way to the west side of Cincinnati from where I am in Kentucky.  So, I pull up to wait on the ferry, and 2 vehicles ahead of me is a semi.  My jaw dropped.  My thought was “no way pal, they are NOT going to let that big ass truck on that boat, ain’t happening sucker.”  The driver, once the ferry arrived from Ohio and emptied of cars, flagged the car ahead of me, me, and the guy behind me, around him.  This seemed to confirm for me that he was not going to be riding the ferry with his truck.  Usually when you board the ferry, they fill the middle, then each of the sides.  This time?  They had us pull one in the middle front, then one on each side of the front, in a neat row.  That is when I realized OH HOLY CRAP they are pulling that damn rig on to this boat.  There is no turning back now.  And with that, I feel the truck start to get onto the ferry, and the front end of the boat lifts up out of the water as the truck slowly inches aboard.  As it got further on, in the middle, things returned to normal but much lower in the water.  More cars now got on either side, and then we began to move SLOWLY across the river, my thought? OMG WE’RE ALL GOING TO DIE!!!!!  I was certain the ferry would sink and my kitten and I were bound for the pearly gates.

CHEESE

🙂  No matter how insane life is, mine is so full of blessings that I am never lacking for something to be thankful for each day.

🙂  While mom won’t live forever, and 3.5 years ago I was feeling embarrassed and like some kind of failure having to move in with my mom after my divorce, I was able to spend so much quality time with her, my sister and nieces.  We all laughed daily, the memories I have of the Diva Den are priceless ones.  And now, once again, just as mom says, “wait a  year, the landscape of your life will be very different than it is now”, mine has changed and it is awesome.

🙂  I love coming through the cut in the hill on 75N in the morning and the first sight of the city of Cincinnati is gorgeous.  Either lit up when it was dark (before the time changed), or as the very first light of the sun is starting to touch the faces of the buildings along the river front, it always makes me smile. I love my home town!  Sure, I moved away, to northern Kentucky, but now I get to see this view of my beloved city every morning.

🙂  While it IS a pain to have to confine the kitten to our room and have her walking all over us while we’re trying to sleep…there is something so priceless about waking up to find her snuggled in against my stomach or my boyfriend’s back, sleeping deep and contently.  You can’t buy that in a store!

🙂  A hot, fresh cup of coffee first thing in the morning. Simple things just make my day.

😦  I really have only one whine today.  Yep just one, singular complaint.  I wish people driving around would come to realize that sunglasses are not a fashion accessory.  Sure, you can buy some really dazzling pairs and match them to your outfit, shoes or even your underpants.  But they are a NECESSITY when driving into the sunrise in the morning.  Because if you don’t have them on, you hit the brakes because you cannot see.  This causes the dreadful chain reaction of others hitting their brakes to avoid hitting you.  In some cases they are in the next lane and hit their brakes because they fear you might change lanes.  The guy driving in the lane next to that person and one or two cars back sees the brake lights and panics and hits his, unaware of why you two are braking but not wanting to be involved in whatever unseen danger is lurking feels he should join the little brake-light-engaged party.  Behind these folks others are forced to now brake and within seconds ya’ll have managed to bring hundreds and even thousands of cars on a major highway to a halt!

You sick, cheap-ass over achievers in stupidity need to exit the highway and go to any local gas station/stop-n-rob and buy some sunglasses.  Priced to move from $5-$55 you can get yourself some eye protection and get back on the road and join the ranks of those of us with brains who prepare for that big, bright orange ball in the sky each morning.

Meanwhile, I think the ‘high speed’, passing, far left lane should be reserved for those folks sporting protective eye-wear.  Those of us smart enough to actually be prepared for the morning blinded by the light arrival of sunshine should be rewarded for our choice to be ready for this event so WE can at least be moving!

Doesn’t matter if your choice of sunglasses makes you look like a super model, Lindsay Lohan after a serious bender, or those ‘birth control’ versions that will ensure you are unlikely to get laid anytime soon, just WEAR THEM!

CHEESE

🙂  I am in SUCH a great mood!  Mostly because I have opted to be.  My entire morning routine was messed up and out of sync and I just didn’t care.  I ROLLED with it!  I have no foundation on because I forgot to use it! WHO CARES! no one here warrants my concerns about how my face looks.  Music played in my head and I danced as I put on my face and then sang to the CD in my car all the way to work.  Off key and sounding like a buffalo caught in a trap I belted out several great songs all the way to work.

🙂  I have a wonderful man in my life!  We’re kinda like the Brady Bunch, but different!  He has 3 kids, just like Mike Brady, only one is a girl.  And he isn’t a gay actor portraying a straight man.  And we aren’t married.  I have moved in with my 3 babies.  All are girls, just like Carol Brady’s were, only mine are 4-legged furry types.  2 cats and one Yorkie dog.  And we don’t have a housekeeper/cook like Alice, so I’m not standing around snapping green beans, pretending to be cooking, while wearing a cute dress and pearls.  But that also means we don’t have the creeper butcher, Sam, dropping by to hit on our housekeeper.  But we’re a blended little bunch just like the Brady Bunch.  I LOVE my life, I’m happy.

🙂  I learned how to do a direct sales party online, so now I can do them for anyone across the country, expanding my client base.  That expands my income which hey, who can’t use a few more bucks?

😦  I really have NO tolerance for stupid drivers.  On the way in today, on the highway doing 70mph, I watched a semi barely avoid running into the rear end of a car in the lane 2 over from mine.  I have NO idea what the moron was doing, but he found himself on the tail end of the car in front of him and without looking swerved to his right barely missing the car as he shot into the other lane to his right.  Fortunately there was no one in that lane or he’d have caused a major accident.  Seriously people, put the damn cell phones down, books (yes I have seen people driving and reading books or newspapers!), makeup (really ladies, no one at the office needs to be that impressed that it’s worth risking your life and mine – paint the face at home or in the parking lot at the office) and just DRIVE!

😦  While I do love summer, not real fond of storms.  Severe ones could happen today, and I dislike that.  Yet we need that kind of weather here at work.  Severe storms mean lightening that causes house fires, and wind damage.  We get paid to fix the damage left behind.  We need it but I don’t have to like it.

😦  Missing my honey.  Long hours this week mean we see each other as we’re crawling into bed at night.  Though if I have to chose between times to be apart, I do prefer to sleep next to him at night, I feel much safer that way, than be alone over night.

CHEESE

🙂  Got to see some of the Tribe last night from the direct sales circles.  Love my gal-pals and it just motivated me all the more!  And I signed up for another direct sales business…jerky!  WOOHOO!  I couldn’t help it, $12 to start another business was too good to pass up and I know SO many folks that love good beef, buffalo and turkey jerky.  They even have jerky for cats and dogs.  LOVE it!  And yes, if you want to sign up under me, I’d love to have you in my downline, just go to my site and follow the links!

🙂  It’s COLD in this office and I am so happy about that.  No complaints, as outside it is SO humid.  I don’t mind, but as one of my favorite weather forecasters here in Cincy said, outside it is “air you can wear”.

🙂  I got my new jammies in my Avon order.  I know that is crazy, but I really do LOVE jammies.  Modest, fun lounge wear styles that I can sport while I take the dog out to pee without giving the old guy next door heart failure.  I may buy a second pair of these, they are so cute.  Coca-Cola ones from Avon.  They will be in an upcoming brochure for those wanting to buy some.  🙂

🙂  It’s dinner with the Divas today.  I enjoy my family and while I’m bummed that I cannot be there with my honey, it is nice to have my Diva time with my mom and sister.

😦  I have got to find a way to help Kentucky drivers realize that it is perfectly acceptable to do the speed limit.  I don’t mean exceeding the limit and speeding, I mean getting the vehicle up to that limit, achieve that which is posted!  10 mph under is just flat out uncalled for, really! Come on, give it a try, it’s liberating!

😦  I had the non-bucket list experience of being on the ferry during a severe thunderstorm.  I could see the sky was turning very dark grey, nearly black, as the storm was moving in, but I really did think that I’d be on the other side of the river in the blue grass state when it hit.  I was off just a bit in my estimation,  it hit just after the ferry had pulled away from the shore and was on it’s way.  Windy, the rain was coming down so hard you could barely see from one end of the ferry to the other (it only holds 3 rows of about 6 cars each to give you a feel for it’s size).  It rocked quite a bit too.  Being one that gets motion sick, this is not a real treat, especially combined with fear of water I cannot see the bottom.  I was pretty sure we were all going to die.  Obviously I was wrong.

😦  I often say in winter that I am NOT going to complain about the weather in summer, as there is nothing I hate like being cold.  But humidity is another issue.  I really do not mind high, hot temperatures one bit, but humidity so thick that you feel like you are walking through warm pudding sucks!  I am not happy.

😦  I am so tired of this hot flash crap that goes with menopause.  I swear my core body temperature is comparable to that of the surface of the sun.  The boyfriend found that highly amusing when I said it.  I did not find it amusing when he had set the A/C up higher one day.  70 degrees, my adorable Knight, no higher.  Even that is pushing it.

CHEESE

🙂  Every morning I get a sweet, sometimes funny, but full of love text from my Knight.  I lock them so they don’t get deleted and want to figure out how to save them to my computer.  I just love them.

🙂  Got my hair cut yesterday.  Not sure why, but that always makes me feel good!

🙂  Farts – they are funny!  Sure, they can be smelly, and even deadly.  The Knight claims to fart tulips.  Personally, I fart fairy dust, fun fairy dust.  The ex-hub used to discipline our kids if they broke wind around folks – do it in the bathroom or your bedroom.  Okay I’m big on being polite if you have to fart, walk away and let it go, then stand there a few so you don’t drag it back into the fold with you.  If you are in the store, with someone, be kind and send them away if you plan to crop dust the aisle.  Farting is funny but please, use some courtesy.  I am beginning to think my ex husband is such an uptight crab because he doesn’t blast one off more often and manage to find the humor in it.  A rather involved discussion of farting had me laughing so hard my sides hurt last night, thanks to some high fiber energy bars I purchased at the grocery store, and then dinner at Buffalo Wings.  I made the mistake of asking why the Knight’s meal was call The Triple Threat.  Seems it is a triple threat to one’s digestive pressure release valve.  The jokes continued and kept me up later than I wanted to be awake.  But laughter keeps us healthy!  The act of farting itself was NOT a part of the discussion.  I’m still laughing this  morning.

😦  The A/C at work is still not fixed.  Today it is beyond steamy in here and SO humid. I will need a shower before I can get within 20 feet of my Knight.

😦  I am not a fan of storms, and there is a chance of some strong ones tonight after midnight.  I’m not as bad as my sister, who literally gets under her bed during storms, but close.  But bad storms can equal some excellent contracts for us at work.  We live for fire, water and serious wind damage.  I’m so torn.

😦  Fruit flies suck.  Monday when I arrived at the office, I noticed a trash can that wasn’t emptied last week.  When I moved it, a swarm of fruit flies emerged. SIGH…2 days later they are mostly gone, except for a few rogue little fliers that are driving me bonkers.

CHEESE

🙂  I had such a busy, long day yesterday.  When I arrived home I was greeted with the most amazing smells.  The Knight had made breaded pork chops, mashed potatoes and a killer salad for dinner.  And it tasted equally wonderful, OMG was it good!!!!  I am so blessed to have been found by such a wonderful man.

🙂  I was a bit worried that all the great eating and ice cream at night was going to impact the scale, but nope!  While it is now creeping downward, it is still on the down so that is cool.

🙂  I am getting a dog!!!  Not only did The Knight allow my cats to join me when I moved in, but he is allowing me to take my daughter’s dog!  Adorable little Penny, the yorkie. She spent a weekend with us and his kids liked her too, so she is relocating to become a Kentucky girl like me!  Tell me this man is not amazing! He hasn’t even met my baby girl and is willing to have this doggie as a house mate.  Even her daddy, who adores his daughter, wasn’t willing to keep her precious pooch.  I just love this man!  Nothing short of wonderful!

🙂  I gave my Knight a special ring tone and text tone.  When my phone goes off with the alert of a text from him, I get all warm and fuzzy.  Waking in the night to discover him there, next to me, is just awesome.  Yeah, totally head-over-heels in love.  🙂  I am so blessed!

😦  S-I-G-H….I need brake fluid in my car.  This really is not a big hairy deal, I can do it myself.  It’s just the idea that I have one more thing I need to address today when I’m just not in the mood to add anything to my already overly busy day.  As one of my favorite, long ago Saturday Night Live characters, Roseanne Rosannadanna would say, “It just goes to show ya, it’s always something!”.

😦  I am sleepy for some reason that is beyond me.  Goodness knows I’ve had enough sleep the past 2 nights.  Guess I’m still catching up?  This yawning has to stop before something devastating happens like my mascara runs.

😦  My cat came up to the bedroom this morning after the Knight departed, crying her heart out for Noel, who stayed behind in the Diva Den.  Noel was like mama cat to her when she was a kitten, so she misses her a bunch.  That makes me sad, though I know she’ll get over it.  She has Ditzy to keep her company.

🙂  No better way to start the day than waking up next to my Knight, and starting out the day with laughter.  He makes my laugh every day, and that rocks.

🙂  Got to work on time thanks to creative dining!  I put my oatmeal in a tiny container and ate while I was driving to work.  Not to worry, finished before I got on the highway, then sipped coffee on the way in.

🙂  I have the office to myself today.  Can you say rocking it out to whatever I want to listen too?  At the moment I’m simply relishing the quiet!

🙂  Lunch = sushi!  Left over but still OH so good.

Wine & Cheese ~ 65th Serving

wine n cheeseWelcome to Wine & Cheese, my weekly, Wednesday whine session.

WINE

😦  Really?  Some douche canoes (aka crack heads) stole the compressor for our A/C at work last Friday evening.  It is going to be 88ish today, so that just stinks.  Thankfully the place next to us got it on security video and the local law enforcement folk were able to catch them.  It takes a special kind of stupid to do this under a camera that is catching you, your significant other, your car, your license plate AND the fact that you have your kids in the car.  The over achievers of dumb are now locked up and their kids are with child protective services.

😦  When loading up my car this morning with breakfast, laptop, water bottle, a change of clothes, etc. (you’d think I was going on a vacation rather than to work) I noticed that my one tire was very low.  This tested my good mood just a bit as I had to take a small detour to the gas station and check and fill all the tires.  I should be thankful that  this is yet another task that I can handle as a female, but darn it, I got my hands dirty!

😦  On the way into work  I heard that 75S was closed due to two tractor trailers doing a little late night mambo on the highway.  Seems it was so intense that they burst into flames.  Who knew that a truck waltz could get so hot?  As I anticipated, traffic on the north bound side had to creep past the carnage on the other side of the concrete barrier to play lookie-loo.  I was getting a tad irritated with the other drivers holding up my progress, then as I got closer I saw that one of the semi’s was a fully loaded Bud Light truck.  It was then I realized everyone was slowing down to pay respects.  A moment of silence should now be observed for this horrible, tragic end to all those innocent, un-enjoyed bottles of beer. *hangs head, closes eyes*

CHEESE

🙂  I am still smiling from my weekend with the boyfriend.  I feel like Maria, in The Sound Of Music, singing in the gazebo, “Somewhere in my youth, or childhood, I must have done something good.”  I’m almost afraid I’ll wake up and this will all be an awesome dream.  God brings about such amazing things in HIS time.

🙂  I’m smiling because I am headed to see him after work today too.  Not going to lie, this day is going to just drag past me because I cannot wait to get to him.

🙂  I am down 11 pounds!!  This of course just makes me so happy, as my choice of jeans for work grew by 3 pair.

🙂  It was brief but I was able to get a snuggle-hug from my snuggle-bug grandson last night, see my son, my daughter and my daughter-in-law and granddaughter.  Little things mean the world to me.

🙂  Waking up before the alarm this morning, snuggled in deep in my blankets, fan in the window keeping the room cool, birds chirping, and my first coherent thought being that someone loves me.  What a wonderful way to face the day.
